Said Eljamali — Choosing Skills Over Noise, Freedom Over Comfort

How I’m Building Skills, Freedom, and a Life on My Own Terms

My name is Said Eljamali, and if I had to describe myself in one sentence, I’d say this:
I’m an independent-minded builder who believes that learning never stops, freedom is earned, and smart work beats hard work every single time 🙂

I’ve always been drawn to independence. Not just financial independence, but mental independence too. I like making my own decisions, choosing my own path, and building things from scratch. That’s why working online, building digital projects, and creating value on the internet felt natural to me long before it became “trendy”.

I started creating content and working online years ago, back when most people around me didn’t really understand what that meant. Since then, learning has become a daily habit in my life. Literally every day, I try to learn something new — a skill, a concept, a better way of thinking. I’m a strong believer in self-education, because some of the most powerful knowledge in the world is learned outside classrooms.

I don’t just enjoy learning for the sake of learning. I learn because I love building projects. Real projects that solve real problems and help real people. Along the way, I became deeply interested in economics, money management, and business. Not from an academic point of view, but from a practical one. I study how money flows, how businesses grow, and how smart systems create passive income over time. My goal has always been simple: build sustainable projects that grow even when I’m not actively working on them.

Helping others is also a big part of who I am. I genuinely enjoy helping young people develop themselves and improve their lives. I share what I learn, but only after testing it myself. I don’t believe in selling dreams or theories. If I share something, it’s because I’ve tried it, failed with it, fixed it, and confirmed that it actually works — 100%. That’s a rule I live by.

One important principle I follow is this:
I don’t worship “hard work”. I worship smart work.
Working non-stop without results is not a badge of honor. Thinking clearly, working strategically, and creating systems that multiply effort — that’s where real progress comes from.

I’m also a social and open-minded person. Before fully committing to online work and freelancing, I worked in many different traditional jobs in real life. Almost every “normal” job you can imagine — I tried it. I even worked in teaching and experienced classrooms from the inside. Those experiences shaped me. They taught me discipline, communication, patience, and how different people think.

Still, no matter what I tried offline, I always felt that freelancing and online work were where I truly belonged. The internet removes borders. It rewards skills, creativity, and problem-solving — not titles or backgrounds.

Over the years, I’ve built friendships all around the world. I communicate daily with people from different cultures, speaking different languages. I personally speak English, Arabic, Amazigh, and French, and I’m constantly learning more. Languages are more than communication tools to me; they’re gateways into new ways of thinking.

I grew up in Casablanca, Morocco, a country that shaped my adaptability. Morocco is a unique place — you can experience almost every type of climate and landscape in one country. That’s probably why I’m comfortable in almost any environment. I love summer and winter equally. I don’t complain about weather. I adapt.

Interestingly, I often compare Morocco to the United States when it comes to climate diversity.
Places like New York or Michigan remind me of the Atlas Mountains — cold winters, snow, and a strong seasonal contrast. California feels very similar to parts of Morocco like Casablanca, with a Mediterranean climate: mild, pleasant winters and dry, warm summers. Southern regions like Marrakech or Drâa-Tafilalet resemble desert climates, with extreme summer heat and dry winters. Growing up in Morocco prepared me to feel at home almost anywhere.

For a long time now, I’ve been seriously thinking about moving to the United States. I currently live in Morocco, but I’ve always been a big admirer of the U.S. I truly believe it is a land of opportunity — not because it’s easy, but because it rewards initiative, ambition, and execution.

I have many close friends who legally immigrated to the United States, and their stories deeply influenced me. What they all discovered was something powerful: for years, they were unconsciously limiting themselves. It’s like driving a car with the handbrake partially on. They were moving forward, but slowly — like a turtle. Once they arrived in the U.S., opportunities opened up, their thinking expanded, and their ideas started growing fast — like a rabbit in the wild 🐇.

One friend, for example, moved to the U.S. through the Diversity Visa Lottery. He started a small business in construction and apartment renovation. Step by step, he grew it legally and professionally. Today, he employs more than 20 people and works with medium-sized companies on renovation and maintenance projects. Stories like this don’t inspire me because of money alone, but because of impact — creating jobs, solving problems, and building something bigger than yourself.

From a technological point of view, the United States is also unmatched. It’s the global center of innovation in artificial intelligence, software, electronics, and digital platforms. Many of the world’s best content creators, bloggers, and educators are American. This environment pushes creativity forward, and that’s exactly the kind of environment I want to grow in.

Professionally, I work in digital marketing, especially SEO (Search Engine Optimization). SEO is basically the art and science of making content visible on search engines like Google. When done correctly, SEO allows helpful content to reach the right people at the right time — without paid ads. Digital marketing as a whole is about understanding people, their needs, and how they search, think, and make decisions online. It’s not manipulation; it’s communication.

Through my platforms, especially Said Media, I create content, tools, and resources for bloggers, freelancers, content creators, and online entrepreneurs. I also launched digital projects like Biochra, an open marketplace platform that helps people create online stores easily and for free. My focus is always on accessibility — giving people tools that actually empower them, not lock them into complicated systems.

Behind all of this, my vision is long-term. I’m preparing to officially expand my work into a registered company, respecting legal frameworks and aiming to collaborate not only with individuals, but also with medium and large businesses around the world. I believe professionalism and creativity can coexist.

This journey is far from over. Moving to the United States, expanding my projects, learning new technologies, mastering new languages, and helping more people — these are not dreams to me. They’re plans in progress 🚀

If you’re reading this, I hope you don’t just see a list of skills or projects. I hope you see a mindset. A builder’s mindset. A learner’s mindset. And most importantly, a human mindset.

If there’s one real reason why I wrote this article, it’s this:
I want to encourage anyone who truly wants financial freedom and a better life to focus on building skills and upgrading the way they think.

The world is full of noise. News that drains your energy. Endless short videos that steal your attention without giving anything back. But here’s the truth most people ignore: these same platforms, if used correctly, can literally change your life. They can help you fix your financial mindset, learn from people who already succeeded, and build opportunities that didn’t exist before.

I don’t see myself as better than anyone reading this. I’m not “successful” in some final or absolute way. And I truly hope you don’t read this thinking I’m talking down to you — because I’m not. If anything, you’re already ahead of many people, simply because you’re here… reading, searching, and caring about growth. That alone tells me you have the hunger to succeed.

If you want to learn a new skill, start a project, or change your direction in life, don’t wait. Don’t overthink it. Don’t postpone it.
The best time is not tomorrow.
Not next month.
It’s now… now… now.

And if you feel comfortable, share your story in the comments. Someone else might need to read it more than you realize.
Thank you for your time — it truly means a lot to me 🙏

Welcome to my world.

Said Eljamali 🙂
